Bank of Maharashtra, a leading Public Sector Bank headquartered in Pune, with a wide network of over 2,600 branches across the nation, has announced its recruitment project for the year 2025-26. The Bank is inviting online applications from eligible and dynamic Indian citizens for the post of Generalist Officers in Scale II. B. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree/Integrated Dual Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) OR Chartered Accountant.
- Desirable: CMA / CFA / ICWA / JAIIB / CAIIB.
Experience
Minimum 3 years as an officer in any Scheduled Public Sector Bank or Scheduled Private Sector Bank. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in credit, branch head/in-charge roles.
Age Limit
Minimum 22 years and Maximum 35 years as on 31st July 2025 (Relaxations applicable as per Government norms).
C. Job Profile
The Generalist Officer (Scale II) will be responsible for branch leadership, credit appraisal, business development, NPA management, compliance with regulatory guidelines, and ensuring excellent customer service. A detailed list of duties includes business target achievement, sanctioning powers, credit portfolio monitoring, recovery efforts, KYC compliance, staff supervision, audit compliance, customer grievance redressal, and strategic growth initiatives at the branch level.
D. Salary and Benefits
The pay scale for Generalist Officer Scale II is Rs. 64,820 – 93,960 plus allowances (DA, HRA/Lease, Medical, etc.) as per rules. Salary may vary depending on the place of posting.
E. Probation and Service Bond
- Probation Period: 6 Months
- Bond Amount: Rs. 2.00 Lakh
- Minimum Service Period: 2 Years
F. Selection Procedure
The recruitment process will consist of an Online Examination followed by an Interview.
- Online Exam: 150 marks
- Interview: 100 marks
- Weightage: Online Exam (75%) + Interview (25%)
- Qualifying Marks: 50% (UR/EWS), 45% (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)
