Overview & Key Points
As per the Memorandum of Understanding between Delhi Police and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the SSC will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment of Constable (Executive) — Male & Female for Delhi Police. Candidates from across India may apply. The post is not identified as suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Applications will be accepted only through online mode. Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted by SSC in English and Hindi. Shortlisted candidates from CBE (as per merit and rules) will be called for Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) by Delhi Police in Delhi. Document verification, medical exam and finalisation of result will follow as per the procedures described in the detailed notification.

3.1 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen in each category of Constable (Exe.) male. Certain Ex-Servicemen categories (Special Forces/NSG, QI graded, Commando-type service) have specific reservation rules as described in the detailed notification.
Pay Scale
Pay Level-3: ₹21,700 – 69,100 (Group 'C').
Essential Qualifications & Driving Requirement
Educational: 10+2 (Senior Secondary) passed from a recognized Board. Educational qualification is relaxable up to 11th passed for sons/daughters of serving/retired/deceased Delhi Police personnel and certain Delhi Police cadres (bandsmen, drivers, dispatch riders, etc.).
Driving License: Male candidates must possess a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle or Car) as on the date of PE&MT. (Learner's license is NOT acceptable.)
Application, CBE & Shortlisting
Applications will be accepted only through online mode via SSC. Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted by SSC in English and Hindi. Admit cards for CBE will be uploaded on SSC website; Delhi Police will publish a notice when admit cards are available. Candidates who rank within the prescribed cut-off (as per notice) will be shortlisted for PE&MT.
RTI/Public Grievances/Representations related to Online Application Forms, CBE, answer keys and result/merit list will be handled by SSC. Grievances related to PE&MT, document verification, medical exam, reserve panel and other Delhi Police processes will be handled by Delhi Police.
Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT), Document Verification & Medical
PE&MT will be conducted by Delhi Police in Delhi only and is qualifying in nature. Collection and verification of original certificates/documents and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be carried out by Delhi Police at the time of PE&MT/Document Verification. Final result will be declared by SSC based on performance in CBE subject to qualifying PE&MT and other stipulated conditions.
How to Apply — Quick Steps
- Visit https://ssc.gov.in/login and complete registration / login.
- Fill in Online Application Form carefully and upload required documents (photograph, signature, certificates as per notification).
- Pay application fee (if applicable) before 22-10-2025 (23:00 hrs).
- Print/save a copy of the submitted application and fee receipt for records.
- Use the correction window (29-10-2025 to 31-10-2025) for permitted changes and pay correction charges (if any).
Important Notes & Instructions
- Applications submitted in any mode other than online will be rejected.
- Candidates must ensure their eligibility (age, educational qualifications, driving licence where required) before applying. Ineligibility discovered at any stage will lead to rejection/cancellation.
