Overview & Key Points
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment of Head Constable {Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO) / Tele-Printer Operator (TPO)} in Delhi Police in accordance with Standing Order No. HRD/06/2022 and the Memorandum of Understanding between Delhi Police and SSC. Candidates from all parts of India are eligible to apply through online mode only.
Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be administered by SSC in English and Hindi only. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBE merit (equal to 20Γ vacancies in each category) will be called for Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT). PE&MT, Skill/Trade Tests (including typing/computer tests where applicable), document verification and Detailed Medical Examination will be conducted by Delhi Police in Delhi. Final selection will be based on merit of the prescribed tests.

Note: SSC publishes vacancies as reported by Delhi Police and does not determine the number or reservation breakup. 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. instructions.
Pay Matrix
Pay Level-4: βΉ25,500 β 81,100 (Group 'C').
Age Limit
18 to 27 years as on 01-07-2025. (Born not before 02-07-1998 and not later than 01-07-2007).
Essential Qualifications (as on closing date of Online Application)
- Educational: Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.
- Professional/Skill Requirements (Qualifying in nature):
- Proficiency in Computer Operation (qualifying).
- Test of English word processing speed: 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes (English word processing test will be conducted in English only).
- Test of Basic Computer Functions: opening/closing PC, printing, MS Office usage, saving & modification, paragraph setting & numbering, etc.
Selection Process (Summary)
- Computer Based Examination (CBE) β conducted by SSC (English & Hindi). Merit list prepared.
- Shortlisting equal to 20Γ vacancies per category for PE&MT.
- Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) β conducted by Delhi Police in Delhi only.
- Skill/Trade Tests (including typing/computer tests) β conducted by Delhi Police; results uploaded on web-tool or provided electronically to SSC.
- Document Verification & Detailed Medical Examination (DME) β by Delhi Police.
- Final result β prepared by SSC based on tests; Delhi Police will maintain and operate the Reserve Panel (15% candidates) as per Standing Orders.
RTI/Public grievances relating to Online Application form, CBE and merit will be handled by SSC. Issues related to PE&MT, DME, skill tests, reserve panel, vacancies and standing orders will be handled by Delhi Police as specified in the notice.
Age Relaxation & Certificates
Permissible age relaxations and reservation rules will be applied as per Government of India rules and Delhi Police Standing Orders. Candidates claiming reservation or age relaxation must be able to produce requisite certificates from competent authorities in prescribed formats at the time of Document Verification. Claims without valid certificates will be treated under Unreserved (UR) category.

How to Apply (Quick Steps)
- Visit SSC Login / Apply and register (if not already registered).
- Fill the Online Application Form carefully. Upload scanned documents as required.
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) before the last date: 16.10.2025 (23:00 hrs).
- Keep printouts/screenshots of the submitted application and fee receipt for future reference.
- For corrections, use the correction window: 23.10.2025 to 25.10.2025 (23:00 hrs) and pay correction charges (if any).
Important Notes & Instructions
- Applications are accepted only through online mode. Hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
- CBE admit cards will be uploaded on SSC website and a notice for the same will be published on Delhi Police website.
- Candidates shortlisted for PE&MT will download admit certificates from the SSC web-tool, and a notice will be published on the Delhi Police website when applicable.
- Delhi Police reserves the right to change vacancies, centers, or schedules. Such changes (if any) shall be notified on official websites.
