It is mandatory for candidates to obtain an O.T.R. number before applying online. Candidates who do not have an O.T.R. number must register at https://otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before submission. Only after obtaining the O.T.R. number, a candidate can submit the online application.
Preserve all information regarding O.T.R., fee payment, final submission, and modifications for future reference. No hard copy is to be sent at the preliminary stage.
- Ensure accurate information for category, sub-category, domicile, gender, date of birth, EWS, and other personal details. Incorrect information may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Candidates providing false or misleading information are liable to debarment for up to five years.
- Synchronization of O.T.R. data on the Dashboard is mandatory after any personal detail modification.
- Incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications will be rejected.
- Applicants must submit required documents during document verification within the prescribed period; failure will lead to cancellation.

The UPPSC will conduct a Preliminary Examination at various district centres. Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam will appear for the Main (Written) Examination. Final selection will be based on marks obtained in Main Examination and Interview. Dates and centres will be communicated via e-Admission certificates.
The Commission reserves the right to cancel any candidature, withdraw recommendations, and take punitive action in case of misrepresentation, malpractice, or concealment of information. Candidates are responsible for ensuring eligibility, correct submission, and compliance with rules.
