Who should apply?
Candidates who meet the educational qualifications and other conditions as prescribed under the Rajasthan Education Service (College Branch) Rules, 1986 (see Schedule-I and serial no.7 for subject-wise qualifications) may apply. In general, the eligibility includes:
- A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized university.
- Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test (SLET/SET), or candidates with a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations (2009/2016 and amendments) who are exempted from NET/SLET/SET under specified conditions.
Important notes on Ph.D. exemption
Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 and awarded Ph.D. in regular mode may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET provided conditions such as thesis evaluation by at least two external examiners, open viva voce, publication of two research papers (one in a refereed journal) and two conference presentations from Ph.D. work are met and certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).
Reservation & Horizontal Reservations
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS and other categories apply as per Rajasthan state rules. Horizontal reservations for persons with benchmark disabilities (PWD categories like Blind/Low Vision, Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Locomotor Disability & others), Ex-Servicemen and Women categories (Widow, Divorcee etc.) are also applicable where specified.
